Summary: | The ECLS is a new longitudinal studies program that provides information on the ways children are prepared for school and how schools and early childhood programs affect the lives of the children who attend them. The program is made up of two overlapping cohorts: a birth cohort (birth - 1st grade) and a kindergarten cohort (kindergarten - 5th grade). |
